Leadership

To organize district wide sustainability efforts, two leadership bodies were established:

Sustainability Council

The Sustainability Council at the Maricopa Community College District is comprised of members of the Chancellors Executive Team as well as other key members across the district. The council gives recommendations to the Chancellor, and is responsible for implementing his committment to the American College and University College Presidents’ Climate Committment (ACUPCC).

Sustainability Committee

The Sustainability Committee is comprised of Faculty and Staff from all Maricopa County Community Colleges. It gives recommendations to the Sustainability Council on how to proceed in different manners affecting the Triple Bottom Line. The Committe further includes the Implementation Liaisons for the ACUPCC at all ten colleges.
